From Bad to God

NaBloPoMo’s Self prompt for Thursday, March 6, 2013 is:
Does blogging bring out your best or worst self?

Blogging is my therapy. Blogging is where I acknowledge the battle within my heart, mind, and soul, and delve into that battle to find resolution.

I absolutely expose the worst of myself through my blogging in an attempt to discover the best that lies within. I use the words in each post to chip off layer after layer of walls surrounding my heart in an effort to allow love in.

I then turn around and use my worst to demonstrate how the love of God can reach any one. If He can do it for me, then He can do it for anyone.

See, that best within me, isn’t me, it’s God.

“Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked him. “Only God is truly good.” Luke 18:19

So, I open myself up in my blog and present my worst to show His best. It is my prayer that He doesn’t become hidden in my words, but that He is the true focus of them.

That would truly be bringing out the best of myself in this blog--if all you could see when you read it is God.

So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord--who is the Spirit--makes us more and more like him as we are changes into his glorious image. 2 Corinthians 3:18

  4. Carrie,
I couldn't believe this when I saw this song! I wrote a song with the very same title!!
http://amybovaird.com/music/ It's on my website. I wrote a description of what the song meant to me.
I love how you put a video with the words I can actually see as I'm listening to the song. It helps so much!
I hope you like my song, too! Thank you!
