Tucked In Tight

Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy!
I look to you for protection.
I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by.
I cry out to God Most High,
to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.
He will send help from heaven to rescue me,
disgracing those who hound me.
Psalm 57:1-3

What a beautiful image: Hidden beneath the shadow of God’s wings during the time of trouble until it is over. Knowing that you aren’t cowering away in a cave, but that you are fully protected by the One who holds the world in the palm of His hand.

He will fulfill His purpose in me. He will. In spite of my abilities. In spite of my sin. In spite of me, He will shine through.

And in the midst of my mess, my storm, my battle, He will send help from heaven to rescue me.

But will I acknowledge that help?

Today I have read several blog posts written by other Christians. A couple of them really jumped out to me as more than just a fellow believers words for the week. More like God’s help from heaven…

Yes, God can even use a blog post to rescue someone. Even a text message. Even a hug. ;-) (Those who know me IRL will get the significance of that statement to me.)

So, I thought I might share a couple of those posts with you. Please take a look and leave a comment for these fellow Christian writers.

Let Them Go & Learn to Fly by Mel Caldicott
And the Crowd Went Wild by Gina Duke
WHERE Are My Ducks by Gentle Joy

You may catch my theme if you read all three, or maybe the common thread is just for me. But regardless, God spoke to me through these ladies on this Friday and I have a feeling some of you might hear from Him too!
