AtoZ Challenge: A
Now He is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else--not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is His body; it is made full and complete by Christ who fills all things everywhere with Himself. Ephesians 1:21-23
In a society where we’re all striving to keep up with the Joneses, measuring our success by who has the most of anything or the biggest bank accounts, what truly is above all? Where should we be looking for a measure of success?
We should be looking “Above All”.
“Above All” was written in 1995 by Paul Baloche and Lenny LeBlanc. It was sang and recorded by Michael W. Smith.
You can read about how the song was written here.
Jesus Christ is priceless. We can never label Him with a concrete measure. He is above all. He is the far above the Joneses. Therefore we should strive to be like Jesus rather than keeping up with anyone else.

ReplyDeleteYes, above all, He has a plan for us. Thanks for this, Carrie :)
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favourite Christian songs. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteRight back at you, Carrie Ann. :-)
ReplyDeleteI would wonder about the quote from Ephesians above. Written in Ancient Greek I presume? Do "head" and "body" carry the same connotations in the original? You'd have the head of an organization, leading the body of an organization? So how literal are we to take the quote? Is it a St. Paul epistle?
Best to you, and good luck.
